MATTEO RAGNI
BORN IN MILAN IN 1972. HE GRADUATED IN ARCHITECTURE AT THE MILAN POLYTECHNIC. HE HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN DESIGN SINCE 1995. LECTURER AT THE FACULTY OF DESIGN AT THE MILAN POLYTECHNIC AND AT THE EUROPEAN INSTITUTE OF DESIGN, HE HAS HELD WORKSHOPS IN VARIOUS UNIVERSITIES IN CHILE AND PARTICIPATED IN EXHIBITIONS IN ITALY AND SCOTLAND. IN 1998 HE FOUNDED THE AROUNDESIGN STUDIO WITH GIULIO IACCHETTI AND TOGETHER IN 2001 THEY RECEIVED THE ADI COMPASSO D’ORO FOR THE MULTIPURPOSE BIODEGRADABLE CUTLERY “MOSCARDINO”, NOW PART OF THE PERMANENT DESIGN EXHIBITION AT THE MOMA IN NEW YORK.
MAURIZIO PRINA
MAURIZIO PRINA WAS BORN IN BIELLA IN 1985. AFTER THE LICEO ARTISTICO IN NOVARA AND THE INDUSTRIAL DESIGN COURSE AT THE EUROPEAN INSTITUTE OF DESIGN IN MILAN, HE OPENS THE COLLABORATION, STILL UNINTERRUPTED TODAY, WITH ALESSANDRO CIFFO DEEPENING SELF-PRODUCTION AND THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ART AND DESIGN . IN 2006 HE BEGAN WORKING WITH MATTEO RAGNI AND GIULIO IACCHETTI IN THE AROUNDESIGN STUDIO. SINCE 2007 HE HAS BEEN PART OF THE MATTEO RAGNI STUDIO WHERE HE TAKES CARE OF THE VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE PROJECT FOR THE INDUSTRY: IN ADDITION TO THE DESIGN OF PRODUCTS, FURNITURE, LAMPS AND FURNISHING ACCESSORIES IN GENERAL, HE FOLLOWS THE DESIGN OF EXHIBITIONS AND MUSEUM INSTALLATIONS. THE STUDIO ALSO DEALS WITH ART DIRECTION AND DESIGN CONSULTANCY, BOTH FOR ESTABLISHED BRANDS AND NEW START-UPS. IN RECENT YEARS HE HAS MANAGED PROJECTS FOR CLIENTS SUCH AS: ALESSI, ALPI, CAMPARI, DANESE, FANTONI, LAVAZZA, LORENZ, PANDORA DESIGN, PINETTI, PLANK, POLTRONA FRAU, TRIENNALE DI MILANO, W-EYE AND MANY OTHERS. SINCE 2012 YOU HAVE COMBINED YOUR STUDIO ACTIVITY WITH THAT OF A FREELANCE DESIGNER. AMONG HIS GREAT PASSIONS, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER, ARE GOOD FOOD, DESIGNING AND PLAYING THE BASS.
